“Funky”, or some call it UK Funky, or “twitch”, or “wonky”, “fidget”, is a new house sensation that first found its recognition in the UK circa 2007. In a recent interview DJ Zinc shares his thoughts: “I really like the vibe of that scene, which until recently was pretty much exclusively an after party scene in South London. It sounds like a cross between regular house and UK garage, with mainly 4/4 beats and basslines, but not as fast or cheesy as bassline house. One of the first tracks that really had the sound was Cure And The Cause by Fish Go Deep, the Dennis Ferrer mix. It feels to me a bit like UK garage, except it’s a bit more 4/4. The UK take on house often is grittier. I guess it’s because British people have been listening to lots of reggae and jungle, so they bring those elements”.

When Matt Mason left last year as editor of RWD magazine, the UK’s foremost urban publication and one that supported grime even before it was called grime, he delivered a prediction: funky house would be the next big urban movement. Before we see it come true, check out this exclusive DJ Zinc Mix!

“我真的很喜欢这个直到最近只有在伦敦南部一些after party才听得到的音乐。它听起来像一般浩室音乐和UK Garage（英式浩室音乐的一种，还有一些灵魂乐、福音、迪斯可的成分在里面）的结合，但是着重于4／4拍和厚重的低音声线，但稍微慢些，也没有这么世俗。对我来说首次展现出这种音乐特点的舞曲是Fish Go Deep Dennis Ferrer混音的Cure & The Cause。英国因为英式雷鬼和丛林音乐的背景，对浩室音乐的诠释一向都会带点影响“。

临近圣诞 欣喜之余不免感叹自己被蹉跎的人生 幻想着在漫天飞雪的时候 装扮成舞会皇后 穿越人头攒动的舞池。
善解人意的SIEASTA率领着SWEATSHOP全体帅哥成员 装扮了一向走黑暗路线的SHELTER 召唤所有森林动物们 参加一场白色的浪漫约会。

于是动物们的衣柜就通通不够用了 为了梦想中完美的X’MAS BALL 准备工作一直是紧锣密鼓的进行着。
挑选 推翻。再挑选 再推翻。按奈不住的兴奋心情。

终于到了美美登场的时刻 却惊讶于SWEATSHOP的用心良苦 白色的大门 白色的屋顶 优雅的白色锻带把SHELTER修饰得温柔又美丽，搭配各路神仙笔挺的西装和各式绝美的礼服 让人恍惚感觉 这才是梦想中的BALL 也许作为圣诞的预演 再合适不过。

当晚虽然没有神秘嘉宾助阵 但感觉更像是上海DNB CREW的圣诞家庭聚会 大家亲密的交谈 或者疯狂的跳舞。DJ SIEASTA当晚一袭性感低胸长裙 美丽而优雅 一如既往的征服了大家的理智 她精心安排的圣诞礼物让大家又再次经历一遍 母性DRUM’N'BASS的魅力。至于我们的万人迷MC Charlie 更是变身”黑马王子” 黑色西装 黑色礼帽 以及黑色蝴蝶领结 加上他独特的RE式唱腔 为大家唱响了欢乐的圣诞颂歌。

如果可以 就让这样的夜晚一直持续到圣诞来临 当我们走出舞会 会有雪橇和麋鹿 在外守侯 也许还会看到 疯狂跳舞的 圣诞老人天空开始泛白的时候离开了这个梦想中的舞会 耳边的回响还久久不肯散去 就像大家的心情还依然留在觥筹交错的舞会上。
